Our all-new Rain Cape is built for versatility. Made from the same waterproof, PFAS-Free 3L nylon fabric as our Legacy Poncho, it delivers a classic poncho silhouette with modern updates.
Side snaps create sleeves or leave them open for maximum freedom of movement and breathability. Slip a backpack or camera on or off without needing to remove the cape first. It’s especially great for cycling, with a helmet compatible hood and the use of finger loops to create a tenting effect over your legs while riding, reducing the need for rain pants. A large anorak-style pocket keeps essentials close, and the cape packs down light for travel.
The Rain Cape is ideal for cycling, commuting, camping and hiking. It’ll keep you dry no matter where you’re going or how much it rains.

WASHING & CARE
Technical outerwear works best when cared for. We recommend using a technical garment wash and repellant as needed in order to get the longest life out of your garment. Grangers has a full range of products to care for all your garments.
Prepare the Poncho:
- Close all zippers
- Make sure your washing machine is clean (avoid washing right after a muddy load)
First Wash (Cleaning):
- Use outerwear detergent like Grangers Performance Wash (follow bottle instructions)
- Wash in warm water on a normal setting with low water volume
Second Wash (Repellant Treatment):
- Use repel formula as needed such as Grangers Clothing Repel (follow bottle instructions)
- Wash in warm water on a setting that allows a soaking period and no extra rinse
Drying:
- Tumble dry on medium to low heat (high heat may cause damage)
- Dry until completely dry, but avoid over-drying (usually around 30 minutes—check periodically)
